Dr Lara Bean

Lara dreamt of being the tooth fairy from a young age and would often ask her parents where she could go to train. How proud they must be after she completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at James Cook University! Interestingly, if she wasn’t a real-life tooth fairy, she’d be dabbling in floristry. There really is something so beautiful about fresh flowers and the way they make you feel isn’t there?!

Away from the practice, Lara loves letting her creative flair shine while creating big grazing platters for friends and family. She also loves reading and has set a goal of reading 75 books this year – feel free to check in on her progress when you come to visit!

Lara is loving living in Gympie after being based in Cairns, Roma and on the Sunshine Coast, and feels very privileged to look after her patients’ dental needs. She always strives to provide them with the very best experience possible and we’re so fortunate to have her as part of our team.
